Small Nature Gallery
In these shots I try to keep things simple and emphasize whatever contrasts I can find. Whether it be color, light, texture, or in some cases one against many.Its also important to get different views of the same subject! Not just standing there and taking a picture, but by moving up, down, or side to side. All while keeping in mind the origin, direction, and intensity of your light source, as well as the background. Most instances will require the use of a small tripod.
To me a lot of these pictures represent the struggle first, for life, and next the struggle for life to survive and renew against overwhelming odds.
In this gallery you'll find nature photographs that are generally smaller than a breadbox. Such as grasses, flowers, small cactus, cat tails, and even a butterfly.
